Resolve cloud sync problems
Not Syncing
Data is not syncing
Possible Causes
- •Internet connection issues
- •Logged out
- •Cloud sync disabled
- •Server maintenance
Solutions
- Check internet connection
- Verify you're logged into your account
- Check cloud sync is enabled in Settings > Sync
- Restart the app
- If issue persists, try manual sync
Sync Conflict
Occurs when the same data is modified differently on multiple devices.
When Conflict Occurs
HejShell detects the conflict and prompts you to choose which version to keep.
How to Resolve Conflicts
- Click 'Resolve' on the conflict notification
- Review differences between versions
- Select version to keep or manually merge
- Save changes
Data Disappeared
Don't panic! In most cases, data can be recovered.
Possible Reasons
- •Not yet synced
- •Logged into different account
- •Data overwritten due to sync conflict
- •Accidentally deleted
Solutions
- Check for the data on another device
- Verify you're logged into the correct account
- Try 'Sync Now' in Settings > Sync
- Check recent change history
💡 Tip
Regularly export your connection info as a backup for easier data recovery.
Decryption Error
Cannot decrypt data
Possible Causes
- •Password changed
- •Data from different account
- •Data corruption
Solutions
- Verify you're logged in with the correct password
- If you recently changed password, use new password
- Try account recovery with recovery key
⚠️ Warning
Resetting password without recovery key means existing encrypted data cannot be recovered.
Slow Sync
When sync takes a long time.
Possible Causes
- •Large amount of data
- •Slow internet connection
- •Server load
Solutions
- Switch to faster network
- Delete unnecessary connection info
- Wi-Fi recommended
Force Sync
If sync issues persist, you can try a force sync.
- Go to Settings > Sync
- Click 'Force Sync' button
- Review warning message and proceed
⚠️ Caution
Force sync overwrites local data with server data. Back up any local-only changes first.
